Repeater relocation

Posted on 8 September 2022

We are in the process of removing the Dstar repeater from UNBC and relocating it to the PG Hospital. This is being done as the hospital can provide data connections and a more harmonious location. The work is planned for Monday Sept 12th. If you would like to help out please contact Dale at 250-612-7011 for further information.

We’re relocating the Dstar repeater to the PG Hospital? That sounds like a smart move, especially with the better data connections there. I’m curious, though, how will this relocation improve the overall functionality of the repeater? It’s great that the hospital offers a more harmonious location, but what exactly does that mean in practical terms? I’d love to hear more about the benefits this move will bring. If I’m available on September 12th, I might even consider helping out. Dale, could you share more details about the specific tasks involved in the relocation? This seems like a positive change, and I’m excited to see how it turns out!
